The air suspension technology featured in the S-Class almost rivals the Rolls-Royce signature “magic carpet ride”, but at 127% below-average reliability, it may sound too good to be true. Consumers have experienced common issues with the windows, and that smooth air suspension is shockingly unreliable.
9. Infiniti Q50
The Q50 runs like a dream, so why does it carry the same 127% below-average reliability rating as the S-Class? According to consumer reports, the in-cabin electronics are extremely prone to failure, including the vehicle’s navigation system, infotainment display, and even power steering.
8. Jeep Grand Cherokee
The Jeep Grand Cherokee has always touted its reliability, but owners of the diesel-powered version of this year’s Grand Cherokee are telling a different story. Issues with the fuel system can completely disable the vehicle, and if that’s not bad enough, the navigation system has a high rate of failure as well. This Jeep sits at 134% below average.
7. Dodge Dart 1.4T
For many car owners, the thought of replacing a vehicle’s transmission can be unsettling, and for the unfortunate owners of the Dodge Dart 1.4T, it might be inevitable. The Dart has issues with its engine as well, bringing it down to a 140% below average customer satisfaction rate. Issues commonly crop up with the oxygen sensor as well, but rough shifting, hesitation, and stalling are all symptomatic of the vehicle’s shoddy transmission.
6. Chevrolet Cruz 1.4T
Despite sharing a namesake, this Chevy is completely unrelated to the Dodge Dart mentioned above, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have its share of issues. The Cruz is notorious for issues with the drive shaft and axles, two of the vehicle’s most essential parts.

5. Mercedes-Benz CLA 250
Mercedes-Benz has a long legacy of creating high-quality luxury vehicles, but look past the glossy exterior, and you’ll see that the CLA 250 has its own share of problems. A faulty sound system and a chorus of uncharacteristic squeaks and rattles has brought this vehicle’s satisfaction rate down to 145% below average.

SUVs are more popular than ever, but you won’t be in love with the Pathfinder when its transmission problems start showing. Slipping gears and an unreliable torque converter have brought this down to 154% below average.
3. Ford Fiesta
Transmission problems aren’t exclusive to larger vehicles, though. The tiny Ford Fiesta, with a customer satisfaction rate 162% below average, suffers from rough shifting.
2. Jeep Cherokee
The Jeep Grand Cherokee might not be all that grand, but the Jeep Cherokee is a different vehicle entirely. Transmission issues are paired with radio and Bluetooth issues bringing this SUV down to 176% below average.
1. Fiat 500L
Topping this list is the unique and extremely unreliable Fiat 500L. With 219% below-average reliability and issues with the vehicle’s sensors and transmissions, this tiny vehicle is 16 times more likely to fail than 2015’s most reliable vehicle.
